GE Louisville unit teams with Colo. company

General Electric’s Louisville-based Consumer & Industrial business agreed with Colorado-based Tendril to develop ways for GE appliances to communicate their energy needs through meters and broadband networks.

The two will develop ways for appliances to respond seamlessly to utility-initiated signals. Such applications canĀ save consumers money and help utilities better manage load.
