Adrian Tuck, Chief Executive Officer
Adrian has more than 20 years of executive management and leadership experience in a variety of high-tech fields. As CEO, he is responsible for driving Tendril’s strategic direction and has built a solid customer base, a world-class internal team, and a strong set of partnerships and investors for Tendril. Prior to joining Tendril, Adrian served as both interim CEO and executive vice president of Ember Corporation, a leading semiconductor provider to the Smart Grid, where he guided the company’s market strategy through its critical early-growth stage. As an early pioneer of the Internet of Things market, Adrian was instrumental in the development of the ZigBee standard and served as the vice-chair of the ZigBee Alliance for a number of years.
Recognizing the role that policy will play in shaping the Smart Grid and Home Energy Management sectors early on, Adrian has worked tirelessly to secure an active voice within policymaking at public utility commissions and on Capitol Hill. He has testified before the U.S. Senate Commerce Committee as well as the Federal Communications Commission on such topics as technology and the Internet, and energy and the environment.
Adrian has received numerous industry accolades, including: the 2011 GridWeek Award for Outstanding Leadership in Advancing the Smart Grid; inclusion on The Networked Grid 100: Movers and Shakers of the Smart Grid; being named Entrepreneur of the Year, alongside Tendril co-founder and CIO Tim Enwall, at the ESPRIT Entrepreneur 2011 Awards; and receiving the 2011 Colorado Cleantech Entrepreneur of the Year Award from the Colorado Cleantech Industry Association.
Adrian sits on the board of the GridWise Alliance, as well as the Deming Center for Entrepreneurship at the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado Boulder. Adrian received his education at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, the British Army’s prestigious officer training academy.

Tim Enwall, Chief Information Officer
Tim has 25 years of high-tech business management experience. As Founder and CIO, Tim has overseen the growth of the business from inception and is currently responsible for corporate and customer insight. He is also chair of the Demand Response and Smart Grid Coalition, and was recently appointed to the Colorado Governor’s Advisory Committee on Venture Capital Investments. Most recently, he was Vice President and Research Area Director at Gartner, Inc. after the company he founded, Solista, was profitably acquired. Prior to Gartner, Tim launched an entrepreneurial career founding two successful technology companies and began his career with almost a decade at Apple. Tim is active in the community, serving as a mentor to TechStars and business plan competition teams, as well as on the Board of Silicon Flatirons at the University of Colorado. Tim was named Entrepreneur of the Year, alongside Tendril CEO Adrian Tuck, at the ESPRIT Entrepreneur 2011 Awards. Tim holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley.

Ivo Steklac, Chief Operating Officer
Ivo has more than 20 years of energy and utility experience, having held various leadership positions in research and development, marketing, and general management. As Chief Operating Officer, Ivo is responsible for the day to day operations of Tendril globally, including business development, sales and marketing, product management and development, as well as client delivery and support. Most recently Ivo was CEO of Greenbox Technology, a company that provides interactive energy management for the smart home, which was acquired by Silver Spring Networks in late 2009. Previously he worked as Vice President of Marketing for Energy and Utilities at Schlumberger, and founded Enspiria Solutions Inc., a consultancy and systems integrator with a strong focus in energy management and operational efficiency within Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), Demand Response, and Smart Grid. Ivo holds degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Queen’s University at Kingston Ontario, Canada.

David Rayner, Chief Financial Officer
As Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Dave is responsible for driving the day-to-day financial operations and strategic funding initiatives for the company. Dave has more than 20 years of experience in a variety of management roles at some of the most successful companies in the communications industry, most recently as the CFO at EchoStar Corporation. Prior to his work at EchoStar, he held executive level positions at DISH Network Corporation, including serving as CFO. In these roles, Rayner oversaw multi-billion dollar budgets and managed workforces in the tens of thousands. Previously, Rayner served as the Senior Vice President and CFO for tw telecom inc. (formerly Time Warner Telecom Telecom), and he oversaw the company’s successful IPO in 1999, as well as raising several billion dollars in debt financing. Rayner has also held additional financial and operating positions at Time Warner Cable after starting his career at Arthur Andersen & Co., and served on the board of Terrestar Corporation, a publicly traded satellite communications company. Dave holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Mark Pougnet, Chief Delivery Officer
Mark has more than 25 years of experience in the technology and services industries. As Chief Delivery Officer, Mark is responsible for all aspects of global service delivery, supply chain, professional services, customer integration, international business units, and ensuring excellence in customer relationship management as the company continues to grow. Mark served as Tendril’s CFO from 2008 to 2011. Prior to joining Tendril in 2008, Mark held executive positions at several companies in diverse technology industries, including Copan Systems, Arthur Andersen & Co., and Avaya and has successfully managed relationships with large corporations. Mark holds a Master’s Degree in Accounting and a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from the University of Natal in South Africa, and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Kent Dickson, Chief Technology Officer
Kent has more than 21 years of engineering experience. As CTO, Kent is responsible for technology strategy at Tendril including research, product architecture, standards and security. Most recently Kent was Vice President of Engineering at BEA Systems Inc., where he held a number of roles managing Engineering and Product Management functions for some of BEA’s key product platforms. Prior to BEA, he held engineering positions at Avitek, BDM International and Ball Aerospace. Kent holds a BS in Aerospace Engineering and an MBA in Organizational Management from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
