A Letter to the President
May 5, 2010
I recently returned from another trip to Washington, D. C., where I participated in a technology summit led by Google called “Power in Numbers: Unleashing Innovation in Home Energy Use”. The summit brought together a select group of close to 50 companies such as AT&T, Hewlett-Packard, General Electric, and Intel, as well as venture firms, Smart Grid startups and research groups, as a call to action to the Obama Administration around giving consumers access to their energy data. Included in that effort was a joint Letter to the President of the United States asking that the Administration “adopt the goal of giving every household and business access to timely, useful and actionable information on their energy use.” The full text of the letter can be found here.
Company Founder & President Tim Enwall, along with Cameron Brooks, Tendril’s Senior Director of Market Development and Policy Strategy, were also in D.C. meeting with folks at the DOE, EPA and several White House offices to talk about Tendril’s technology offerings. The Tendril team is truly enjoying the opportunities we’ve had to participate in federal government circles, which is an exciting place to be. I look forward to continuing to build relationships and influence the conversation around the Smart Grid where it matters most.
