DistribuTECH Day #3: Demand Response and the Smart Grid—The Customer’s Point of View
February 3, 2011
I’m looking forward to the third and final day of DistribuTECH. It got off to a great start for us with the launch of Tendril Energize™, our energy application suite that opens a dialogue between energy providers, ecosystem partners and consumers to manage energy use in real time. We’ve had a lot of great conversations, many of which centered on how consumer engagement. This trend continues today during a morning panel focused on Demand Response and the Smart Grid: The Customer’s Point of View. I’m looking forward to the discussion around this important topic, sharing lessons we’ve learned and best practices, as well as talking about the road going forward.
I’ll be speaking along with Sandra Baule, Project Manager at San Diego Gas & Electric on Consumer Engagement Methods for Successful Deployment of Home Area Networks. We’ll share our perspectives on what it takes to meaningfully engage customers.
Tendril VP of Business Development Tony Bamonti and Shelley Moister, Product Manager with Landis+Gyr, will present on Leveraging Existing AMR Assets for HAN-Enabled Demand Response. They will talk about ways in which energy providers can develop Home Area Network-enabled smart energy programs, while protecting and leveraging the investments they have made in AMR meters and network systems.
Some of the best conversations we’ve had have taken place at our booth (#1329). We’ll be there again today. If you haven’t had a chance to swing by, we hope to see you today.
