Product & Service Providers
Sought after for decades but always elusively on the horizon, the connected smart home is now a lot closer to becoming a reality. Today, consumers can take advantage of direct savings by better monitoring and controlling their energy usage. That control signifies the beginning of the connected home, and opens up a wealth of connectivity-enabled possibilities for product providers to capitalize on new revenue and cost-saving opportunities. Service providers can offer additional services to generate new revenue streams per subscriber.
Energy is the catalyst for the connected home. Tendril offers a proven ability to interconnect with energy service providers, a platform that accommodates innovative application development, and the analytics engine to simplify the connected home and deliver value to customers. By providing a unique and open solution, the Tendril Connect™ platform enables a myriad of devices that use different technologies to coexist and interoperate.
As the foundation for the connected home, the Tendril Connect platform helps product and service providers better meet consumer needs; provide simple and flexible options; and differentiate themselves from competitors.
If you are an appliance vendor and wish to integrate your device with the Tendril system, or if you are an energy service provider and want to test partner device compatibility with the Tendril system, please contact us.
Application Developers
Seeking to collaborate with the developer community, Tendril is excited to present the first application developer program for the energy market. By building on the proven Tendril Connect™ platform, application developers can tap into Tendril’s customers, connected smart energy devices and energy service providers. The Tendril Connect platform is now the common connection between products—such as web applications, mobile applications and smart energy devices—and users, including consumers, energy service providers (ESPs), product and service providers (PSPs) and developers.
Built around the Tendril Connect platform application programming interfaces (APIs), the program is ready to go with core energy-related features and will soon expand to other capabilities. Tendril’s existing, published APIs are designed to determine energy usage and cost of energy usage information, and we anticipate extending that category to include connected device monitoring and control. As we boost our API set, we’re providing developers with the opportunity to create more powerful and differentiated applications that will inform consumers about their energy use, enable customers to control and program their smart energy devices, and allow energy service providers to monitor and control the entire energy network with powerful tools.
Start developing for the Energy Internet with Tendril Connect APIs. Register now for the program and gain access to the APIs, examples and a question-and-answer forum, and to be notified when new APIs are available.
