GE, Tendril Enhance Demand Response Appliances

General Electric Corp. (NYSE:GE) signed a joint development agreement with Tendril to enhance communication capabilities of GE’s demand response appliances including metering and broadband networks. The co-developed applications will offer cost saving solutions to consumers and help to better manage the electric power generated. The president of GE Consumer & Industrial, Kevin Nolan, said, “through our collaboration with Tendril, consumers will have unprecedented access to information that will enable them to become more educated about their energy use and how to reduce it.”
